With about 63 million people having Diabetes in India, the healthcare burden of managing it is huge and is expected to increase further with rapid urbanization and life style changes occurring in the country. There are several challenges faced by the country in managing diabetes like increasing prevalence in urban and rural areas, lack of disease awareness among the population, limited healthcare facilities, increasing prevalence of diabetes complications and most importantly shortage of physicians specialized in treatment and management of diabetes.
The "Fellowship in Diabetes" course, offered by Medvarsity and AHERF in association with Royal Liverpool Academy and Apollo Sugar Clinics, is structured to provide broad, in-depth and updated knowledge in all the aspects of diabetic care and facilitate the physicians develop the skills for efficient and integrated diabetic care.
Placement assistance will be provided for jobs in various hospitals/clinics, for all successful candidates.
